SHELTER, Inc.'s goal is to end homelessness in Contra Costa County. We work towards this goal through three service areas: Preventing Homelessness, Promoting Self-Sufficiency, and Providing Permanent Housing. 2.) Promoting Self-sufficiency 3.) Providing Permanent Affordable and Supportive Housing New Program: Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP): SHELTER, Inc. was awarded a grant for homelessness prevention and homeless assistance funding.
